The book pick for this event is Articulations by Etta Bollinger

A well-known writer, activist, and disability rights advocate, Henrietta Bollinger’s
debut essay collection speaks to their experiences as a queer, disabled person, and
as a twin. Articulations is a timely, personal, and poignant appraisal of life in
Aotearoa New Zealand. Soundtracked by the Topp Twins, Anika Moa, Woody
Guthrie and more, Bollinger’s essays take us on a journey from first crushes and first
periods to parliamentary reform and Disability Pride. They challenge the norms of
our ableist society, asking us to consider better ways of being with each other and
ourselves.

To participate:

You don’t need to have finished the book to join us. Whether you’ve read a few
pages, a chapter here or there, the whole book, or none – you’re welcome to come
along. If you’re curious, want to kōrero, or just want to listen and meet liked minded
people, your pace, your way, is enough.

Formats:

Physical copies of Articulations are available at Auckland City Libraries. They are
also available to purchase at all good book shops, which you can find via Book Hub
@bookhub_ .An audio and e-book format are available to purchase for $15 through
