Taking the mic as Deaf and disabled slam poets
Last week at The D*List community hub, we gathered to celebrate disability storytelling and community in the form of spoken word poetry.
Ella Sargison
Ella (Ngāti Tūwharetoa) grew up in Tāmaki Makaurau and has lived in the UK. She now lives in South Auckland with her partner, children and dog. Before arriving at The D*List she was working in Rainbow spaces. Ella is currently an Auckland Council Rainbow Panel member and runs peer support sessions for short statured people in Aotearoa.
