'More fair pay for our cares': The mega strike in photos

Learning support staff and teacher aides were joined by nurses, social workers, firefighters and doctors.

  • On Thursday, one of the biggest strikes in the country took place.

    In Tāmaki Makaurau, striking workers from six unions marched and rallied down Queen Street calling for better conditions and pay for teachers, education support workers, nurses, doctors, social workers, firefighters and community health workers. Eda Tang captured its moments.
